Soooooooo, about 18.5 *COUGH*, 11.6
So how about that last open workout ehhh. You know after having done this years open I feel pretty damn good about myself. Up to the announcement I felt that Dave freaking Castro would bust something out of his ass and be like "Nah fam, this is not a democracy, this is a dictatorship. I make up the rules here and I will pick this workout. Double Murph!! Now go!!!" But nope he kept his word and let us everyday CrossFit athletes choose the pain of our liking to round out this year's open. And what an open it was, or will be once I complete 18.5
18.5 will ultimately end up being a repeat from 2011, 11 point freaking 6. I personally did not do this workout because I only started in CrossFit in 2014, hence why I wanted to do this one. So 11.6 is ultimately a thruster workout mixed in with pull-ups that ascends up in count as you go along, or as my fiancee would just say, "BLAH". Honestly, I am doing scaled on this workout so I have to basically pace myself through this workout.
Here is the breakdown of the workout:
Complete as many reps as possible in 7 minutes of:
3 thrusters
3 jumping chin-over-bar pull-ups
6 thrusters
6 jumping chin-over-bar pull-ups
9 thrusters
9 jumping chin-over-bar pull-ups
12 thrusters
12 jumping chin-over-bar pull-ups
15 thrusters
15 jumping chin-over-bar pull-ups
18 thrusters
18 jumping chin-over-bar pull-ups
This is a timed workout. If you complete the round of 18, go on to 21. If you complete 21, go on to 24, etc.
So yah, this workout will ultimately be painful, but in the end just super fun as f!@#!!! I will post my results on Saturday, pending I can actually walk :).
